Saturday 9: A Long December

My grandfather had a seizure on Christmas day and this was the first holiday season without my grandma, so it was a little rough. My grandfather is stubborn, but after some convincing he let the paramedics check him out and he seemed to be "okay." I was less than convinced, but I did get ratted out by my aunt and yelled at by my grandfather for calling them. I so love my family. New Year's Eve was uneventful, so all in all my holidays were good.
2. Do you have any unusual collections?
I have a coin collection and the hubby and I have a bit of a gun collection, but nothing that I find unusual. Oh wait... I have the entire set of Disney characters that you could collect from McDonald's twelvish years ago... Is that unusual?
3. If you could train a machine to do one thing for you whenever you wanted, what would you have it do?
Does "clean my house" count as one thing? If so, that is what I want a machine to do for me... I hate cleaning!
4. What is one thing that makes you cry?
One thing that makes me cry... Hmm... Those faithful animal stories that I Stumble Upon on the internet always seem to get me.
5. What do you love to do on the weekend?
Barbeque! Relaxing at home with the hubby is my favorite. I would really love to go camping, but I am still working on the vessel for such an event.
6. Do you and your family get along?
Yes, we get along. My pops and I are super close and talk every other day. My mom and I are apparently not speaking right now, but it has never been a matter of not "getting along."
7. Have you ever gotten kicked out somewhere? If yes, do tell.
Thinking... thinking... not that I can recall at the moment.
8. Who do you normally turn to when you need to complain about something?
My bestest girl Jewelean... unless it is work related, then S gets to hear all about it since can sympathize (we work together).
9. What is the last thing you ordered on-line?
Thin crust veggie pizza with white sauce (it just went out for delivery). Yum yum!

Sunday Image #6

I am not the religious type, so I may not be the best person to comment on this. But... it does seem to me that god often credit for the wonderful or beautiful things in life while being able to skirt responsibility for horrible ugly things. This cartoon reminded me of this...
So what are your thoughts?

Wednesday Wickedness: Angelina Jolie
Recently... working out has been helping me feel sexy again... (as I blow off my workout for the night)
2. “I don't think the money people in Hollywood have ever thought I was normal, but I am dedicated to my work and that's what counts.” Do you think people think you are normal?
I don't even think I know anybody who could define normal.
3. “If you ask people what they've always wanted to do, most people haven't done it. That breaks my heart.” What have you always wanted to do?
Go skydiving and learn to surf... I should probably work on that.
4. “There's something about death that is comforting. The thought that you could die tomorrow frees you to appreciate your life now.” What do you appreciate the most about your life at this time?
Even though I get wrapped up in petty shit sometime (especially recently when it comes to work) at the end of the day, I simply appreciate my life. I have a job I really love and a husband I am proud to be a wife to. We have built something simply amazing.
5. “Where ever I am I always find myself looking out the window wishing I was somewhere else.” If you could be somewhere else, where would you be and why?
In my hubby's arms right now. On vacation would work well too.
6. “I need more sex, OK? Before I die I wanna taste everyone in the world.” Have you ever felt that you need more sex to be happier?
More sex never hurt my happiness level, that is for sure.
7. “If I make a fool of myself, who cares? I'm not frightened by anyone's perception of me.” Have you ever made a fool of yourself? If yes, spill.
A time or two I am sure, typically these times involved more alcohol than I care to remember (not an excuse) and the edges are a bit fuzzy.
8. “I don't believe in guilt, I believe in living on impulse as long as you never intentionally hurt another person, and don't judge people in your life. I think you should live completely free.” How often do you feel guilty?
I am not a big believer in guilt and regret. If you feel guilty, fix it. ** A Scott and Aimee song lyric is now playing in my head... "I used to be Catholic, but now I'm just guilty" - damn I love that woman. **
9. “I never like being touched, ever. People used to say I held my breath when they were hugging me. I still do.” Are you ever uncomfortable being touched?
I can be a very touchy feely person, the type that greet people with hugs instead of handshakes. Some people really creep me out though and then I completely understand the discomfort. I try to be mindful of others comfort level with being touched.
10. “Oh, God, I struggle with low self-esteem all the time! I think everyone does. I have so much wrong with me, it's unbelievable!” Give us an example of what you’ve done when feeling low self-esteem.
First, I give into it with ridiculous results, and then I tell myself to pull it together and fix it or shut up about. This would be why I am on my workout plan (I know the one I blew off tonight). I believe that if you don't like something in your life than you should fix it and if you choose not to fix it you really don't dislike it.

Mindless Monday #1
Well another four months have passed and I have no idea where I stand with my list of 1001 things to do or if I even have any days left to do them in. I will evaluate and adjust this list soon. I have been working out damn near daily for the past three weeks and am half way through the Slim in 6 program from Beach Body. A huge thank you to Roxy for the video!! I actually am starting to believe I can see some results as slight as they may be.
Work is crazy and I am not sure how much longer I can even attempt to bite my tongue working in such close proximity to a man with a huge God complex... But the hubby says I need to start shutting down work mode after five pm, so I will stop that rant mid-thought or I will never manage to get to bed.
Bed... That is my next mission... Right after I write a check, clean Bob's ear (no that will be in the morning), and grab a gulp of water. Wow, bed actually sounds really inviting right this minute, which is a bit of a surprise since the hubby isn't yelling down the hall at me to come to bed. I truly hate when he is out of town, not only do I miss him more than I love turning the AC up to a respectable temperature, but sleep seems to escape me the moment I kiss him goodbye. Go figure, but more on that later because this is the end of my Mindless Monday rant.

Saturday 9: Kicks (Keep Getting Harder to Find)
Umm... no? I have less empty time, so it seems easier to fill...
2. Who is your favorite relative and why?
Favorite is kinda tricky... I am closest to my father. I do not have a relationship with a bunch of my relatives, but the ones I do are very special to me.
3. Who is the most important person in your life?
Tricky, tricky... I could never pick just one person. The hubby, my daddy-o, my sister from another mother (SFAM), they would top the list.
4. Name one thing you used to do that you are not proud of.
I don't really have an answer for this one. I am sure there is something, but it is slipping my mind for now.
5. Tell us about the furthest you've ever been from what you consider "home".
That would be New York. I thought this answer should be a bit more profound, but that is all I've got for now.
6. Who would you want to be locked in a room with for 24 hours?
Right now I would go with SFAM. I think we could talk for a week straight right now and still have more to talk about.
7. What are you doing this weekend?
Enjoying the fact that the hubby is home for a few days and I can "sleep" in his arms.
8. Other than your own, whose car were you in last?
I honestly can't remember. I haven't been in anybody's car, but my own all this month... That is kinda weird, especially since I hate driving!
9. Tell us about the last compliment that you've received.
A new work associate said that I had incredible communication skills and that I was in a word "Awesome" - How refreshing that was to hear and it means a bit more since I think she is pretty "awesome" too...

On the Right Path...
Day two of learning how to run... done. No Billy today. Just a run and some randomness. I'll weigh in tonight and close my eyes to my fat little Mii.
I need to finish my reading assignments, so I can move onto the writing assignments all of which are due on Saturday. Magnificent. I am an incredible procrastinator, second to none, if I do say so myself.
Why doesn't beer boast your metabolism like a weight loss drink? If only I could figure that one out, then I would be a bazillionaire...
My pops birthday is tomorrow, so we will be having the family birthday dinner. Yum... I love dinners with my family even if little miss bratzilla does attack...

TMI Tuesday #203
I don't think I would change much at all. Maybe nap a bit less, but that's all I can think of.
2) Are you settling in your job/career?
Settling as in I really wanted vanilla ice cream, but I'll settle for chocolate? No, I don't think so. I am constantly working towards my next advancement and attempting to absorb all that is available. I do not have the career that I dreamed of as a kid, but then again I don't have the same dreams anymore...
3) Are you settling with your significant other?
Same question... Or do you mean settled, content, and happy? I'm confused!! Anyways, how ever the question was meant... I am horribly happy with my hubby and wouldn't trade him for anything. He drives me crazy, but also deals with my insanity. He knows how to push all my buttons, for better or for worse.
4) How important is your family?
Extremely. Although I should do a much better job of showing it.
5) If you caught a neighbor peeping in at you while you were naked or having sex, would you close the blinds? (assuming you live in a city and can see into other buildings).
They would have to be very obvious for me to even notice, since I walk naked in front of our open window multiple times a day and have a habit of running to the garage half naked... But hmm... it would depend... I probably would since like a said to be that obvious would be pretty creepy...

I Need A Pep Talk...
I began my first day of training on my Nike+ walk to run program. Got my ass kicked by Billy Banks. Then my Wii Fit called me overweight and told me to loss twenty pounds. What an amazing ending to a three day weekend. To add insult to injury, Wii Fit makes your little character fatten up for a lovely visual. Guess I should focus on a healthy diet and regular exercise.
Okay, time for a quick shower and a bit more homework before bed. I have to become reintroduced to four am tomorrow morning quickly followed by an hour long commute. God, I love my life... No, really I do love my life.

Booking Through Thursday - Recent Worst

What’s the worst book you’ve read recently? This would have to be Violin by Anne Rice. It was not horrible, but the first three-quarters were like pulling teeth to get through. It might not have been so bad if I hadn't been searching for the damn vampire that does not exist. You know since Anne Rice is known for vampire novels, I would have thought there should be a warning - **Beware: This novel does not contain any blood sucking.** Or something to that effect.

TMI Tuesday #199
Can you picture growing old with them or just riding them until your toes curl? Growing old? = love; Toes curl? = lust; Both? That would still be love.
2. You are happily married, engaged, or committed in a relationship, yet you have a hot sexy dream about someone you have always wanted to do it with. Have you cheated at least in your mind?
Hell no!! That is most definitely not cheating. What I got married and the rest of the world suddenly became unattractive??
3. Do you trust your significant other?
Absolutely, positively, without a doubt!
4. How important is your Husband or Wife wearing their Wedding bands? Is it important to you and why?
I went through a bit to find that perfect ring for him, so I would be sad if he did not wear it. I would say he feels the same.
5. Do you feel that flirting is OK if you are taken?
Of course.
Bonus (as in optional):If you were 100% guaranteed not to get caught having a one night stand with someone else, would you?
Ummm... No... Weird question... So is the only reason I don't cheat on my hubby because I might get caught? No. But then this is an impossible situation, so if the world starting spinning backwards would you walk on your head?

Saturday 9: On Broadway
Nope... I have only been to one play actually, but it was Cats.
2. Tell us about one strange event in your life this week.
Strange event... hmmm... this week...There has been a random beeping noise in my house. The hubby and I deduced that it must be the stupid smoke alarm, but we could not figure out why it would beep since it is hardwired into the house. The hubby undid the alarm only to find out that touching it makes the lights in the house flicker. Electricity and the hubby are not on friendly terms, so I made a call to by father the electrician to come save the day. After a bit of investigation he discovered that it was the battery powered smoke detector that we never knew we had that had been beeping and the hardwired one did not even work. I've been try to shut the wrong smoke detector up for over two years...
3. Have you ever lied to "get the guy/gal"?
No.
4. Tell us about your best friend.
She is like the sister I never had, except I've always had her. Last month she told me that her plan was that we would both die in our sleep on the same night, so we didn't have to live without eachother, after I asked her to make sure my marker wasn't stupid. We're odd I know, but she knows me better than I know myself and she even knows when to pretend she doesn't.
5. What was the best vacation that you ever had?
I don't think I could just pick one. There was the one when I meet my husband and that was a pretty life changing one. But then there was the one when I was sixteen or seventeen just me and my dad and we got the truck stuck at the desert and then got it pulled out, realized we forgot the whip and had to go get new ones and had the best time ever. Yeah, that one really sticks with me.
6. What was the last big purchase you made?
A lawyer??
7. What is your favorite non-alcoholic drink and when did you start drinking it?
Shirley Temple. I couldn't say...
8. When was the last time someone did not believe you?
When I said I don't want kids anymore anyways...
9. You have signed on to direct a romantic comedy. Who are your stars?
Jenifer Aniston and Kate Hudson... Can I make a gay romantic comedy? You know that you would come watch that movie... Honestly, I don't know. I'm not a big romantic comedy movie lover. Typically, they are full of shit. I did like The Break-Up though, no sunny fix all ending.
